What Is Interim Management

Intrerim Management is a well established concept in the corporate and public sectors.

Organisations will often use highly skilled Managers in times of change or challenge, for example to :-

Complete specific projects

Launch new products or services

Train or coach new skills

Assist with succession planning

Assignments will typically last for a minimum of 3 months and allow the business to access skills that are not available in-house or are fully absorbed on other projects.

                   

PDA Interim is a logical extention to our service offered and we see great synergies with our current range of activities.  The service does not impact on existing resources and can be carried out by an experienced senior executive and interim manager, using a model designed to ensure that PDA clients continue to get maximum value for money.

Case Studies

ABC Limited

Problem - A MAS project conducted by PDA recommended the implementation of more sophisticated production control through an MRP system. 

ABC Limited also had a weakness at middle management level, taking up much of the Dircetors' time.

Potential Solution - A 6 month interim assignment for an experienced Production Manager, with the dual aim of implementing the new systems and coaching / montoring a promising Supervisor to take over the management role at the end of the project.

XYZ Limited

Problem - During a MAS funded strategic intervention it was determined the XYZ Limited had significant growth potential through bidding for public sector contracts, but they would need an accredited quality system and lacked in-house expertise to put one in place.

Potential Solution - A 3 month interim assignment for an experienced Quality Manager, implementing an ISO 9001 : 2000 system, gaining accreditation and training staff.  Ongoing PDA involvement through handling internal audits until system fully embedded.
